What a great show, thank you so much to my incredible guests, it was such fun the three hours flew by in a snap!
As you all know by now each week I do a pay it forward blog and this week I am absolutely privileged to be writing about two gorgeous woman that are paying it forward in the most fantastic way, Alice and Olivia are making the world beautiful with their incredible woman's summer range's but what should be noted is that this dynamic duo has also established sustainable job creation through a company they established called SOKO. SOKO is a manufacturing comany in Kenya, a country that although rich in culture, aesthetics and warm people has almost half of its entire population living below the poverty line. (see bottom of blog for a few facts on Kenya).
"SOKO aims to create a sustainable and creative long term solution to Kenya’s economic crisis by promoting community driven, ethical and environmentally aware trade in fashion."
And this is exactly what they are doing, through training and providing job stability for a factory full of Ukunda local's, SOKO is now responsible for the production of various international brands.

I was thrilled when they invited me to the reveal of Lalesso's Spring/Summer 2013 collection at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, I took my sister Kiki and we sat front row all giddy with excitement to see what the girls had created and boy did they not disappoint!
LOVE, love, LOVE - want them both!
These looks just blew me away I love the base black
contrasting with the gorgeous colorful print.
Love this cape with hood - Hoodies on anything are definitely in this summer
My Favorite was this dress, it came in Orange and turquoise blue and it is made in pure silk, the fabric just fell so beautifully!!!
From runway to Facebook:
I loved all of the designs, the entire collection was Absolutely gorgeous, colorful fresh, comfortable and just exquisite. I was also hugely blown away by the head rests and accessories especially the necklace with the feathers! I fell in love with everything, the clothing, the accessories, the head pieces the girls, each one uniquely beautiful and inspiring. Thank you ladies!
A few things I noticed at fashion week:
1. Do something cool, visually exciting and bold above the shoulders - be it with your hair or adorning your head with something, is definitely trending, so get creative and have fun which these two girls did with absolute panache and style.
and do the same with your accessories:
Pick a bold statement piece, whether it be an arm full of large bangles or an eye catching neck piece.
Love jewels on casual, especially cotton or denim.
But what seems to be happening is more of a uniform neutral combination of tone's such as blacks and whites with a few pop's of colour (usually in the shoes, bags and accessories) or one patterned piece. Or the same pattern from head to toe and then neutral accessories.
Thats it for now on the fashion front, as always be comfortable in your individuality, as confidence is the most attractive accessory you could wear and will never goes out of style ;-)
