The Loerie Awards, crazy party's, meeting Helen Zille and MC Hammer and More Part 1

Creative week in Cape Town and The Loeries Awards was just one big party after another inspirational talk, after another big party after another special screening, after another big party after another creative seminar, after another big party after another awards event, after another big party after another awards event. Basically you were sleeping, celebrating or being inspired. You definitely met incredible people (Yes I met the incredible Helen Zille and Cool MC Hammer) and fantastic new friends and the best way to show you as much as possible is through images and links to video's.
It all began with the wonderful Short & Sweet film exhibitions, show casing some of the best local and international short films, they had a fantastic turn out check out their fb page for upcoming events and more photo's http://www.facebook.com/shortandsweetcapetown
The Judges stayed busy all week and went through hundreds of entries in all the various categories,
So by the end of the week they deserved a little luxury, which they received.

The Judges Dinner
The Judges Dinner was a classy do, greeted on a red carpet by two of the most gorgeous woman you've ever seen, who just happen to be identical twins beside, a brunette and chocolate skinned goddess, guest were most certainly welcomed with big ruby red smiles and warm hello's!
It was held in the pool area of the Caledon Hotel, very classy and for once it appeared as though the advertising hooligans were being civilized... true story
It was style all the way with synchronized swimmers...
The only thing missing was a mirror hung above the pool, I was dying to see what those bum's in the air would look like from that angle... hmmm
And to top it all off with a large cherry, the beautiful ChionaSky performed

The Loeries International Seminar of Creativity

Cape Town decided to give us a rainy day on the same day as the
International Creative Seminar
so I arrived looking like a drown rat but smiling none the less...
Andrew Human the CEO of The Loeries, did an incredible job of gathering a phenomenal line up of creative speakers

My two Favorite speakers were Alexander Schill

If you want to feel inspired and creatively motivated watch these links:

LEGO Builders of Sound - So Cool!

Serviceplan Pro/Contra

Its about ingenuity and perspective

Austria Solar - Annual Report

This was amazing, what an amazing idea, an annual report
literally powered by the sun!

BUILDERS OF INFINITY - Lego

So clever...

Epica 11 - Gold Public Relation - SKY, "SKY Football Opera"

I absolutely loved this, commentary and emotion delivered through Opera singing instead of commentary during a soccer game, fantastic!

UNICEF Repay For Good App

A creative way of getting money paid back but in a "pay it forward" way

And Cecelia Wogan-Silva from Google

Shew google is an incredible company, I was blown away by so much, especially Google Glass, watch this it will blow your mind!

Project Glass: Live Demo At Google I/O

I had a chat with Cecelia after her speech and what blew my mind even more was the fact that this product will launch next year! Someone said to me that soon we will have google glass built into our actual eyes and that completely freaked me out!!!! I don't want anything built into me! What if you don't pay a bill and then someone turns off your eye sight?!?!?! Its all incredible as a accessory, we are not waiting for the future we are living in the future and hugely scary because if anything is ever permanently attached to humans, well that very thought is just soooo scary! To me anyway...

The Velocity party
The Party that everyone want to go to but only a few select get
invited to is The Velocity party and when you see what
everyone got up to you will understand why!
It was held on a little piece of heaven on earth and one of my favorite
places in the world - The Grand in Granger Bay!

The Theme was an s & m surrealistic world with such attention to
detail that even the dj booth was clad in Barbie Doll's strapped
in various 'positions' by black rubber tape!

Part 2 coming soon, The Award's, The Awards After Party's, Meeting MC Hammer and The Incredible Helen Zille!!!

Also remember to tune into 2oceansvibe this sat 12-2pm for my show where I will be chatting to some gold Loerie's winners about their win
and a covered up marketing scheme that went global!

Driving through town we were blown away by the amount of land that had been reclaimed and the rich history which surrounded us

These two benches marked a sad time in South Africa's history where racial division was rife and black
and white were unable to share a simple street bench.
Arriving at The Mount Nelson we were greeted by The Guards Regiments ... or @NoDangerDiaries version
We decided we had to check out The Planet Bar, it had a beautiful mobile of our solar system...
This pic doesn't do it justice
I even found my planet... mmm... whats it called again?
And Sebastian knew exactly where we were, clever boy ;-)
We were off...
I was from Mexico, does anyone know who my inspiration was?

We passed District 6, another one I cant wait to explore

Moravian Chapel
The Castle Wall
