1. If you were happy once,
you can be happy again:
Although this concept is so simple, when stuck in a dark depression it is hard to remember that there is light around the corner. We forget that every second holds the possibility to change, to go in a new direction. If you remind yourself that everything is momentary, every moment passes and is replaced with a new one and you where happy once, therefore you can be happy again. If you remember that you will accelerate in the direction of the light.
2. You are moving through the darkness:
If you are reading this blog, you may think you are stuck but actually you are actively doing something to better your life, you are in search, you are moving through the darkness, which means you are not stuck at all and although your headlights are not working and you cant see where you are going or that you are even moving, be alert, keep your chin up because before you know it
you will see light up ahead...
3. Gratitude:
Everyday, fill an entire page with things that you are grateful for, no matter how small or silly or massive they are to anyone else, don't worry about that, just do it for you. At first it may be difficult but the more you do it you will see that it becomes easier and easier and Gratitude is without a doubt one of the quickest surest ways to blow that dark cloud in another direction and let the sunlight in.
4. Random act of kindness:
Make it your mission to do a random act of kindness as often as you possibly can, when we are depressed everything is about us and how awful we feel, there is a whole big world out there and each and every single person has their own baggage, their own scars and fears to deal with. Focus on making someone else happy, it may just surprise you how wonderful it feels not to be thinking about yourself and to make someone smile...
5. Teeth Smile!

Do it! Don't worry about the fact that you look completely insane, the best most innovative creative people are insane. Smile as hard as you can for as long as you can, even if you are smiling through a snot cry session. Put on your favorite song, sing at the top of your voice, dance - get your body moving and Smile!
